On 30th July 2016, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) held their annual gathering on Buzludzha Peak.

This year marked the 125th anniversary of the birth of Bulgarian socialism, a date that is celebrated here each year by the modern-day followers of the movement's founding father, Dimitar Blagoev. The event featured food, music and award ceremonies, as tens of thousands of people attended – many waving red flags branded with the BSP logo.

The BSP's newest leader, Korneliya Ninova, was there to greet the masses with political speeches about the past and future of the socialist movement in Bulgaria.
